Regarding the issue at hand,
SoundGrid servers may drop or distort audio if the CPU is overloaded. To check if the CPU is overloading, look at the SG meter in the top right corner. Ideally, the maximum usage should be an average of %85.
Note that higher sample rates require more processing power and are more prone to such issues.
In situations where the CPU is overloading, we would first suggest trying the following:
- Remove or reduce the use of heavy plugins. Note that Reverb plugins tend to have higher CPU demands
- Increase the Server Network Buffer to a higher value (Note: This will affect system latency).
- Verify that the Clocking on the M-Waves Card is set to Digital (in SuperRack) and that the Sample Rates are the same on both the console and SuperRack.
