From Cobalt:
Check to make sure there is not a change in the number of embedded channels in the differing video sources. When the number of Embedded channel changes, the audio engine restarts and you will get static from the change as the audio processor relocks to the new number of channels. This will happen anytime the number of Emb audio channels change with or without a video switch.
Next is, since this card does not have a frame sync, it is susceptible to timing variations in source video during video switches. This may present in the SDI Input Video Status as a loss of lock.
Last is, when the source video changes between 1080p 59 (3G) levels A or B. This will cause the audio engine to reset. This can be seen in the SDI Input Video Status as 1080p 59.94 A or B
