Qsys no connection to Lan ports after design file load

Modified on Mon, Jul 15, 2024 at 11:34 AM

TL:DR - Corrupt show file. Try loading a blank design and if your design file works, and the previous one doesn't, file could be corrupt. Backtrack show files until you find one that works and re-build from there

Example issue on a Core110f

Issue: Core LAN A and LAN B showing link lights, and proper addresses on front screen of Core 110f with no traffic to either port.
Details:
     - Running 9.4.2
      - Shows Design File name and runs file correctly for analog in/out processing
      - Lan A seems to not be active at all, I am able to ping the LAN A address at bootup start, but once it loads the design file there is no traffic. Confirmed this was the IP address on the front of the Core110f Screen
      - Link lights showing on LAN A and LAN B

Troubleshooting Steps:
- Factory Reset - Core came back in Configurator properly. When tried to push file (on 9.4.7) got through the firmware updates and loading the design file, up until the final steps of loading and it "lost connection with core" at that point the correct design file name showed "OK" on the front of the Core 110f
- After talking with QSC they recommended an OS reflash - We reflashed the OS on the core via USB. After a reboot it came back successfully in configurator
- Tried loading the Design file and experienced the same problem with loading the design file, up until the final steps of loading and it "lost connection with core" at that point the correct design file name showed "OK" on the front of the Core 110f
- Factory Reset - Tried another design file from a save a few months before - No luck. Same thing, no connection
- Factory Reset - Tried Loading a Blank design file - It worked, Core came back correctly after a file push.
- Loaded a design file from September 2022 - That worked.
- Talked to QSC and they said the only option was to rebuild the changes in the design file while having the 2024 file pulled up next to it - Recommended to not copy/paste components from file to file to avoid corruption
- Rebuilt the file accordingly, and it seemed to work properly on all functions.
